Inverclyde Women’s Aid’s vision is of a society in which women, children and young people are full and equal participants, unconstrained by the threat of domestic abuse or other forms of abuse, violence or oppression.
As a feminist organisation, Inverclyde Women’s Aid believes that ending domestic abuse means tackling its root cause, which is gender inequality.
Inverclyde Women’s Aid aims to do this by:-
- Promoting women’s equality and children’s rights
- Campaigning for policy and practice responses that actively prevent violence against women
- Working to ensure appropriate service responses are available for women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse
